I've been reading about frame sliders and want to know if there is consensus about what brand is best for an 05 FJR. I see GSG Moko and Motovation have them and I can buy the Motovations from their website but I can't find a place to purchase the GSG model.

So what's the best one?

Where can I buy it?

I know Skyway makes sliders- check his out.

I bought Bike-Johnny sliders for my '04. I believe there is a connection with the International FJR Site run by Joos. Google Bike-Johnny. You have to trim plastic for these...but I liked the placement of the slider, and the material that it's made from.

I personally like the material that scrubs/wears away/expends energy during a slide, rather than the aluminum. But that is just my preference...may not be yours.

I switched from the drill your fairing type,

I like these and I had to retap the hole to correct this one as the black slider portion should be horizontal, I just had it loosely connected at first.

I got them from unver motors, LSI is the brand

and you buy the slider color of your choice

I'm still a newbie so my opinion probably matters little. Most people in this club favor Skyway sliders. After doing research I purchased Motovation. Imho, the Skyway aluminum look the best. I regret not buying Skyway aluminum for the looks alone. The Moto sliders are made out of nylon. Skyway has sliders made out of aluminum and delrin.

I figure that in a slide it really won't matter what type of slider since your fairings are gonna get banged up regardless. Sometimes I wish we could have technical/engineer-type people to provide online seminars for stuff like this.
