Smart Car tipping

It would really suck if it was my car but I had a chuckle anyway. I remember the first time I passed one on the road, heck those things are smaller than my bike.

Unless you lived in a big city and parking was a premium I don't see why people buy those "smart cars".

My 2010 Nissan Sentra gets better gas mileage and it's a full size car with a real back seat and good size trunk!

What amazes me is that George actually fits in the car. I have a friend with a bright red Smart, its license plate says -- ZIT

My inlaws have one. Kind of neat that they can get it and the Kia Soul into one garage stall, so the second stall is for a mini van and the third stall for all sort of non-moto-junk.

But they don't live in the city, parking is not a premium, it doesn't get very good fuel economy, and it isn't cheap. The transmission and suspension are terrible. I have no idea why anyone would want one, other than to look cool.

Well my smart car is a little too big for these acts, my 3700lb led bedder... 48miles /chg; on 11KW @$04.4/kwh equates to about .50cents of American made electrons for the almost 50 mile chg range before I submit to using gas. Converted to gas mileage, equals about 450 miles to the gallon. 'nuff said, I commute cheaply and refuse to support Dubai and the tallest crooked towers on Earth.

A hot cheerleader at my highschool had a little blue MG convertible. I don't know how many times the football players put that car sideways in the front hall if the school. It only took like 8 of us to pick it up and carry it.

AND, I just had a lady plea guilty in court today to 90mph on 65mph freeway through town. She was hauling *** in her Smart Car. She laughed at the stop when I told her I didn't know they went that fast. I had a hard time catching her cuz she was changing lanes like a go-cart.

When I was in the Army at Ft Lewis, there was a **** of a first lt. that drove a MG midget. You were subject to find that thing anyplace. Until someone put it in the Sgt.Majors flower garden. I'm just glad I'm older now, or that article could hit much closer to home.
