So Erik and Gerry finally get a morning to take a ride. If it's not raining, or something else intruding on the all important motorcycling in the Inland NW. So, I meet Erik at Alberson's at 0800 sharp.
We continue into the Palouse (rolling farmland in SE Washington) with our first stop for gas in the town of Plummer, ID and guess what happens? I'm squeezing by my bike and I catch the right mirror and bang, it falls on the ground. Well, these are those cheap FZ knock-offs on the bay for $30. Well, we try to put it back on and the threads are stripped. In the garbage she goes.
Guess what I'm doing, riding with one mirror. Tougher than one would think.
Next up, St. Maries, ID where being a big logging town still they pay homage to Paul Bunyan at the local Elementary School.
Pleasant temps albeit a bit chilly for June. Dry roads and plenty of twistys around the lake.
Gerry left, Erik right.
So, after our photo-op by the lake we continued on to Coeur'd Alene where Erik had a meeting at 12 so he peeled off there and I continued to Spokane. I90 was extremely windy and due to my eagle-eye I avoided getting smooched by an inattentive Montana driver.
Overall a nice ride with about 150 mi. on the bikes.
BTW: I misspelled the lake's name in my title. Oh yeah!
Hope you enjoyed.
