OK - I just ordered mine and will pick it up late this week. Told them I wanted it to be faster than yours and they said "no problem, just lose some damned weight." Must be a litter mate to yours. Outfitted identically to yours. Not lots of options, however, I am sure that yours will be a lot different soon.

Hi guys, heres the poop on my new bike. I had the wing sold to a guy in Kansas city. Needless to say he bailed in the last minute. I struck a deal with Grassroots BMW just south of me. Traded the Wing in and picked up my new ride today. It cost me a extra $500., but it is a done deal. I quess the guy in KC's wife said no. But I am happy now for a nother month or two... :yahoo: Heres a few pic's, ended up with a silver one, the red one was sold a few days ago. Got to go ride, 600 smile service is in the morning...

Rode one at the BMWMOA national rally in Gillette WY about a month ago. Seemed nice. The final drive now has a drain plug on the GS. A rider from NY I met there has a friend with a GS. Since it has a "maintenance free" final drive having no drain plug, to change final drive fluid, they take the gas tank off and pick the bike up with a front end loader(because they have one) to tip it upside down to get the fluid out!!!!
