I bought this second hand, and it was in need of minor repair and paint(!) when it arrived.
It had been painted with some weird paint that wouldn't accept primer, so I was forced to sand the entire thing. Also there were some stress fractures in the lid, which I repaired with Devcon epoxy, (the stuff they repair canoes with).
A previous owner had re-installed the rubber gasket, and some of the glue is apparent when the lid is opened. It's on there real good, and not noticeable when the lid is closed, so I just left it. I also didn't take the time to try to sand the old paint off on the inside rim, so it's cosmetically challenged in that area.
I managed to nearly match the liquid silver color of my '11, but it's not a perfect match, and there are a couple of rough spots which could be sanded better by someone with more patience. It won't require sanding down to the base, however, as it did for me...
Anyway, as it is not pristine, I'll let it go for $450.00 USD plus shipping. Paypal preferred.
