I like the idea of a 50-50 drawing because it's simple and easy for multiple people to get the tickets sold.

Anyone have any thoughts on splitting the money between Jordan and Tim (TWN)?

really, really I am

Am I to guess that EOM staff doesn't care about the manner that we get money? I'd like to know if ya'll think a 50-50 raffle is good. I'd need to pick up tickets, if so.
I have no preference as to how it is raised.

I am good with "passing the Hat" as well

Splitting with Ax and TWN is fine with me.

there wasn't a collection taken for OrangevaleFJR
There hasn't been an EOM since Andrew died. I was just considering the timing with the event a little less than a month after his passing.

Please disregard my earlier statement, I agree that we should keep this collection just for Jordan and do it in a 50/50 drawing.

I do however think that we should do something at EOM in memory of TWN. I will take that subject elsewhere.

Yes, agreed about doing something for TWN.

Not even sure... when did Andrew die? I need to take a look at his profile, I suppose.

Did they do anything for Andrew at this year's NAFO? I'd be surprised if not.

Jason, I'm sorry. I had missed your original post when I posted.

So, I'll let this ride for a few days. Unless someone objects, I'm going to buy some tickets for a 50-50... maybe announce the winner at Saturday's banquet?

I'll volunteer to sell these Thursday & Friday night. Maybe we could have a group selling effort, too.

About TWN... any suggestions?

A 50-50 is what I thought we settled on a while back. 98% sure that Wally World in L'burg has the double ticket rolls, being as it is within walking distance didn't see much use in getting excited about the lead time. Couldn't the tickets be peddled at registration...everyone comes thru there.

Well, I'll be dadburned... I don't remember reading anything about a decision. Last I saw Scab had posted up about prize winners giving money.... or such. Sorry for the redundancy.

OK, maybe I just decided it in my head! :) Don't think there was any redundancy. Anywho, I think Wal-World has tickets.

to be completely positive, I will pick up a roll or two of tickets here in town. Wally world has them... that is good news.

You remember correctly,

Heidi is just showing her age :p

Sorry, missed this.

50/50, I think, will be the most effiecient and least labor intensive way to collect something for Jordan's memorial fund.

The passing of TWN is sad, but a means for helping the family has been established. Anyone can donate as they see appropriate. I think we could, in some way, take a moment for all of our fallen riders before dinner saturday night. I look at Axeman's situation as he is one of EOM's own.
