My local dealer has three 07 AEs left but is totally unwilling to come down from 13000. I have read on this forum that maybe the 07s had a higher cost but these bikes are two years old. Anyone out there seen any good deals as of late? Im not sold on the AE but for the right price Id buy one. Dont really care so much about the year either. But I would like to keep it around 11,000.

Keep looking, there are much better deals out there if you willing travel and ride back.

Someone posted this one from CrankyApe.com.

https://www.crankyape.com/default.asp?pg=Di...temNumber=12448

There are three of them on that site with high-bid of $6600.

Description: Total Loss Motorcycle. This is a new 2007 Yamaha FJR 1300. It’s powered by a liquid cooled, in-line four cylinder, 1298cc 4-stroke, DOHC engine and a 5 speed transmission w/computer controlled clutch. The bike has both a standard foot shifter and also a toggle-shifter on the left handlebar for clutch-less manual shifting. It’s equipped with ABS, a push button adjustable windshield, adjustable headlight level, 12V plug, and heated grips. The gauge cluster consists of analogue tach and speedo as well as an LED information display. The bike has not been previously owned. It was assembled by a certified Yamaha mechanic and all recall updates have been completed. It has been deemed a total loss by the insurance company due to having been parked near a large fire at the dealership. There does not appear to be any damages related to the fire, however we cannot guarantee that none occurred. The bike appears to be ready to ride as is. You can see it on our showroom floor in Cannon Falls, MN.
Estimated Repairs: The hard sidebags are missing from the bike.

Gee. Think we can figure out WHY this stealer has 3 left?

Bob

btw - Very memorable forum name.

Rio Yamaha in Las Cruces, NM has an 06 AE with 3000 miles for 10,000. They also have a new 07 but they want a bit more for that one.

I just picked up an '06 AE with 2600 miles for $7249.

All recalls done and even some Farkles.

Hang on, with this economy, Cash is King.

Keep your eye out, with the economy the way it is there are some good deals to be had. I just bought mine from a local dealer that took it in on trade. It's a 2008 with 650 miles, backrest, touring windshield and Two Brothers carbon pipes for $10,700.00.
