Well, some of you might be happy to see me leave, including a nameless moderator, but I enjoyed most of the discussions, and will try to continue them on other boards.
And no, my dear brothers, I WON'T bail out from Yamaha. At least not until I try everything myself, and give a reasonable chance to Yamaha to resolve my surging issue if I don't succeed myself. Since my success meter is not that high, due to the FJR being an otherwise fantastic machine, I'm almost sure when I'm done with a full synch the surging will be brought to a tolerable limit. I'm also trying it at extreme conditons, which I shoudn't encounter in most trips.
I'm leaving because I just found out about the '50% warning' on my handle. All because I comment I made on the pinned thread. And worst of all, I was the only freaking one; not even folks who posted the links got one. WTF?
Plus I was never 'warned' I could get a warning, like most decent admins would do.
PLUS there's a link to a service manual (it's even titled that way) on FJROwners, where most of the moderators here are moderators there, and THAT'S okay there, but not okay here. High ethical standards indeed.
And finally, the rules were changed to reflect that subject by none other than one of those 'dual' moderators. I never broke any forum rules (at least before I posted). And still I'm the only one with a freaking warning.
Since hell probably would have to freeze over before my 'warning' is removed, I'll ask to be permanently deleted from this forum right after clicking 'send' here. And let me repeat; more than having a warning, which I didn't even know I had until today, and don't feel I deserved, is the fact I was the only one to get one. That's absolute crap. And obvious I'm not liked here. Since I'm in their 'house', I've never been the kind to hang around as an unwelcome guest. And since I'm not a hypocrite, I'm getting out myself.
I have the same handle in all other forums, including the FJR and BMW ones, so I won't be a stranger to most. Take care gang; it was a pleasure while I lasted. I sure learned more about this bike in a month than all my other bikes combined, and mostly thanks to many of you. I really appreciate that. Ride safe gang.
