Most excellent replies - thanks to all that contributed. I'll do some studying soon.

I've ridden just about all of Eastern Kentucky, but not much of West Virginia - another idea to consider.

Maybe this trip will wait until the Fall and I'll stick to something farther South for my mid-April tour.

West Virginia offers quite a bit of outstading riding and sights. Worthy of a dedicated multi-day trip. More than a few on here that can offer quite a range of suggestions for WV, including myself.
