The Bartender Whisperer
Dude that looks like dog ****!!!!!!!!There is a place to eat in Valley Center called Fat Ivor's Rib Rack. It is excellent and has received the johnny80's seal of approval. The best beef ribs I have ever had. The meat falls off the bone. BBQ so good it makes you wanna slap your momma.Looks like it will be Palomar then, and not Idyllwild.
Here is a suggestion for the official route, starting at Doffo Winery (Summitville St and Warren Rd):
Warren Rd / Rancho California (west)
Glen Oaks Rd (east, left; dead ends into...)
De Portola Rd (south, right; dead ends into...)
Anza Rd (south, left; about 1/4 mile; dead ends into...)
Hwy 79 (east, left) past Warner Springs, past Hwy 76
Mesa Grande Rd (west, right; dead ends into...)
Center Loop (north, left; about 1/4 mile; dead ends into...)
Hwy 76 / Pala Rd (north, left)
Hwy S7, east grade of Palomar Mountain (east, right)
Hwy S6, south grade of Palomar Mountain (west, left; dead ends into...)
Hwy 76 / Pala Rd (north, right)
Hwy S6 (south, left) past Harrahs, into Valley Center
Lilac Rd (north, right) (bear right at junction of Lilac Rd and W Lilac Rd)
Couser Canyon Rd (north, left; dead ends into...)
Hwy 76 (west, left; about 1/4 mile)
Rice Canyon Rd (north, right)
8th St (west, left)
Rainbow Valley Blvd (north, right)
US 395 / Rainbow Canyon (north, right; dead ends into...)
County Rd 16 (north, left; about 1/4 mile; dead ends into...)
Hwy 79 / Temecula Pkwy (west, left)
Interstate 15 - End.
Does this sound good (if you can follow my long-winded directions)?
Looks like we need to split up into a couple of groups as well. A "Mr Toad" group, and my usual slow group...
Also, Marcelo said that he will have some wines available for tasting at $2 each, for those interested. All the usual warnings apply - please be responsible.
After a route is finalized, then we can make the most important decision - where to eat??
What do you think Neil?
