Made it back home safely...

I averaged 25MPG round trip with the BIG DODGE DIESEL! Who knew they were so efficient? :yahoo:

Richard, Thanks again for hosting this! I owe ya one. :good: Lots of great memories to cherish for years to come...Except for Andy. His will be somewhat clouded over.
That's amazing mileage for the truck. Hope our F350 can do that. We chose the diesel hoping it would be a bit easier on fuel (now that diesel is more expensive than premium gas).

Andy hasn't spoken yet, nor has he gotten out of bed as of the time I left for work this morning. He is breathing, but that's about all he's doing. I really don't think he'll remember much about the tech day. Then again, there is always the video, and Richard's memory. A performance like that will not be forgotten.
Good luck with the Ford... Dodge and Cummins have been the winning ticket for economy. If Ford would have put a Cummins in their trucks, I would have one in a heartbeat. Powerstrokes just are not good for economy.

Thanks Richard for putting this on. It was great to see everyone.

Simon, Tony was there earlier, he had to leave for honeydues.

Trent, good riding back with you, enjoyed swinging by LB BMW.

Roy, thanks for the suspension setup, can't wait to get on Ortega to really test it out.

Andy/Jill, nice meeting and talking to you guys. Turns out I used to play footy with Andy years ago.

See you all again soon I hope.

John

Anytime you feel like a ride John, look me up. Great meeting you too.

Big thanks to our host, Richard, for putting on such a fun and delicious tech-day. It was well worth the three-hour ride each way to spend some time with great friends and do a little tinkering with the bike. My brakes and clutch have never felt so good!
