Solstice Approaching

Being in the more-northern than some Washington State we're approaching that time of year where we have over 17 hours of usable light each day...and started thinking about our friends father north. It's past 10 p.m. in Anchorage and the sun hasn't even gone down yet! Besides it being at least twilight all day...the sun is up over 19 hours.

Of course the picture above will change, but for northernly challenged folks it might be fun to watch.

Or for those VERY far north folks at Barrow.

Hey look - isn't that odot in that picture? What's he doing in Alaksa? I thought he lived in Texas.

What's he doing - oh, look - he's clubbing a baby seal.
