Well guys and gals, it's been a long time since I had the good fortune to log-on the forum and see what has been happening. Between work and a new S.O. the time has been at a premium. Speaking of the S.O. I was parked in front of her condo the other night and someone determined that my FJR might look better laying on the pavement. Not sure how it happened, but it was found in the morning laying on the right side with the side stand still down. And of course, I didn't have any sliders that would have at least protected the right side lower. Regardless, I lucked out and am receiving $2000 from the insurance company for repairs that are primarily the lower right panel and the cover on the right side bag. I talked to University motors about new parts with "Mike" (evidently Gary no longer handles parts as he has been "kicked upstairs") I believe he quoted me about $331 for the bag cover and $274 for the right side lower. I wanted to see if you folks thought that was the route to go before ordering the stuff. If I order, would it help to mention I'm a forum member? Any thoughts on this situation in general. BTW, nice to be back on this fantastic site!!

Those are the prices I got for those parts a couple of months ago and the best prices/service you'll find. Replace 'em.

yeah, order from them... & definitely mention that you are a member here.
