Looks like we are in for 12" to 18" of snow tonight. It will be awhile till the snow, ice, and sand leave and make my next ride a possibility.

yup, sadly there's another 2 more months before half-way dependable conditions for riding. :(

Yesterday before the "storm"

burrr... but worth it. Bike ran great in that weather too.

Twenty-one degrees F is a little cool for my liking. How long did it take for your boys to drop back down to their room-temperature position, Matt? I'm sure your new riding pants helped, though.

Nice ride!....yeah 21 degrees....my blood is way too thin to be riding in that chit!!!

I like the pic in front of the Capitol as well. TFS!

Great vid! I love the sound of a Feej at take-off.

You sure have a lot of confidence in not having a bunch of crap on the road at that time of year

Nice footage, especially like seeing your shadow ahead of the bike and being able to see you shift body position at times. A rare, beautiful winter day in MN, eh?

Well, yes and no! I had ran that stretch of road and then turned around in order to identify the multiple stretches of sand that seem to build up near the center line. That gave me an idea of where to hug the shoulder more.

I had to test out my new heated jacket liner. I don't do much sub-freezing riding but I think it will really be nice on those days in the 40s and 50s so I don't have to bulk up with 4 layers under my jacket which makes me uncomfortable. Heat is nice!

I had the itch Sunday 2 weeks ago, hit 45 degrees and sunny. Went out and got lost for 200 miles that afternoon. Today 10" of snow to remind us in MN still winter.

I have an electric lawn mower...No fuss, no muss. No carbs to deal with, don't have to winterize it, and its as good for the environment as one of those stupid electric cars. So there...

You go with your electric snow blower.

Your a good rider Carlson! I heard a couple peg scrapes on that same curve in both directions. You were staying right on the smaller & more nimble SV1000 the whole time. What's a mountain twistie rider like you doing living in MN? ;) .......... :D

Nice work, Matt. Keep up the good work.

(I put the battery in and fired up the FJR last night. I think Friday morning will bring a ride across the river... :p )

He likes mosquitos.
Ha I just require the winter offseason to save money for the riding season. Riding all year would get pricey.

What road in MN? I may be in the twin cities area later this summer.
It's long lake park just west of 35W and north of 694 in the city of New Brighton. It's a fun stretch to hit after work or on lunch.

I might make it deeper into WI on Sunday I'll look for your tire marks!
