If you've never witnessed that type of riding in person, you owe it to yourself to go and watch. It sems the organizers pick the most impossible and impassable terrain and lay out a course. THEN, the riders go out and ride it. They are amazing. Uhm, yes, they make mistakes, but it is jaw-dropping-inspiring to watch these guys compete and perform.

Saw the FIM Trials in Duluth, MN a few years back. It was the most incredible display of riding skill I've ever seen in any discipline of motorsport. These guys do things that really look impossible. Fun to watch!

 
FWIW, the only resemblance a Trials bike has to a real world motorcycle is that it has wheels and a motor. But they do do some incredible stuff, thats for sure, as do Jeeps etc. in their version.
