Just so you know they don't always come at you head on. My wife and I were out for a quiet ride in a residential area going to a friends house. We were on a quiet street on a right-hand sweeper. I put on my left signal, looked in the mirror and started to slow for the turn. Looked in the mirror just before turning and here she comes on the outside on the phone and accelerating. If I hadn't of looked again My wife and I would be road paint!!! What an *****. I was going to follow her but figured that it was a waste of time. Thankful she didn't hit us.

That is riding smart. Besides what would you do with her after you caught her????

Smart decision and you lived and will ride another day.....

Glad you guys are okay, and that you checked that mirror one more time! Best regards.

My first thought was to ask her what she was thinking and maybe cuss her out. But I really didn't care. Just glad she didn't hit us.

A lucky escape, glad you made it.

Unfortunately, she will probably think nothing of it, and won't realize she is doing something stupid until she does take someone out.

Glad you are OK and was hiighly observative. I was sitting at at fairly busy intersection the other day and noticed that 4 of the 6 drivers making a right turn at the light were ON THE PHONE.

Be Alert and Be Aware!

True. Its not uncommon to see nearly half of the drivers with that talking piece of crap pressed up against their skull.

On a related note to this thread. My GF and I went on a little road trip this weekend and got caught in a heavy downpour. The track I was riding in had lots of standing water so I was riding to the outside of the outside track. Wouldn't you know it, some old fart in a ranger decides to pass me on the inside of my lane... with a passenger.. in the rain.

WTF! I saw him coming but JEEBUZ makes you wonder what some people aren't thinking.

Glad you and your wife lived to ride again.

Gunny to the smart move of not following the idjit home. I heard that even idjits can have guns. :trinibob:

I am so tired of idiots on the phone.
Phones, just like guns, don't kill people; people kill people. I'm tired of idiots, period.

So, most of the people who talk and drive are able to do so sucessfully...

One of those phone-less idiots, apparently...
