but that engine ALEREADY has the most torque of any stock cycle engine in history.

Not even close. 25 lb/ft short of the Triumph Rocket Triple.

And 223 lb/ft short of a Boss Hoss.

And that's the "stock" motor in a Hoss BHC-3-LS3, which IS, in a perverted way, a motorcycle, so it's a "stock cycle engine."

how about that motor in a feejer frame?
How bout a 25mpg SPORT/tourer with poor low speed manners? Once they had screwed around with it enough to work well as a wide band torque producer, the things that made it legendary would be gone I think.
I still think it's doable. With a couple changes, this is a viable v4 tourer:

- six speeds

- better aerodynamics,

- a knock-sensor to ****** timing so the motor can adjust to whatever fuel

- selectable fuel/timing maps (aka the Mana) for performance or mpg

- sacrifice 20 hp off the top end for better overall efficiency

Then again, I think the v4 is the best engine configuration, which colors my view of the world (when are getting that 1000cc adjustable windshield VFR again?).
