looking for some ideas for a weekend lower part of WV. tried looking for past oem roads i guess Im not to savvy. LVN Grenville SC at 2 on a Friday and returning late Sunday thanks for the ideas

Personally, I like the roads on the eastern end inside the Monongahela National Forest. You pretty much can't go wrong. The roads are smooth, twisty, and not too heavily traveled with plenty of passing opportunities. What I particularly like is the fact that there are so many nice parks in the area - lots of opportunities to get off the bike and see stuff. My wife and I were just there two weekends ago for my father's funeral. We stayed in Elkins and did loops from there - Black Water Falls, the Green Bank Radio Observatory, Cass Railroad, etc. The hotels and visitors center in Elkins have flyers with suggested loops that are a good starting point. We only rode about 250 miles a day but they were very pleasant miles with plenty of stops to stretch our legs.

i cant make it that weekend wish i could
Gotcha. You are going this coming weekend. If you rode up to Marlinton you could stay at Old Clark Inn. Great B&B and run by motorcycle people. Andrea or Nelson can point you in the right direction(which is any direction from there) for good riding. Tell them Bob sent you!

To the O/P - terms of endearment aside, the answer to your question is simple. Just invite Bob to join you!

I had the pleasure of a weekend guided tour of W/V by the infamous Intech. To this day, I don't really know where we went, but I can state with 100% confidence that it was fantastic. Great roads, great scenery, great stops, great food. What else could one ask, all for the introductory offer of ..... FREE???
