Southern Indiana -Between Louisville & Evansville

I just looked at the aviation prog charts for the weekend, and it looks like it should be fine. I think the only thing you should be concerned about it lake effect snow SW corner of L. M., and heck, you can circumvent that easy enough, can't you?

I'd love to Rocket, but multiple NOAA sites at Louisville, Indianapolis, & Terre Haute indicate precip on Sunday...therefore we would definitely have the possibility of precip in 30's-40's temps. I could handle it...but it wouldn't be fun.

This trip possibility was based on the long shot of sometime having a 2 day window of cold but clear weather...until yesterday and today it looked like that was actually going to happen.

Yeah, I was really getting psyched for this weekend's trip as I had a riding partner and for over a week the forecast was good then changed on Thursday . I was looking forward to exploring some new roads in S. Indiana.

I don't have much confidence that a 2-day window will occur beforethe salt flies...

I guess I will try for a 1-day window and maybe a N. Illinois Rock River or Galena run...

Or maybe will have to wait until next year :angry: :angry: :angry:

That would be a slight possibility...'course if I did that I would be using some of my chits for next years rides :huh: (which I hope includes a long trip out to Colorado).

If the weather looks good I will consider it...where are you staying in Hooterville? The Super 8 or Days Inn - whatever it is next to the Huddle House??

Rethinking this whole thing Rocket...it looks good Friday and Saturday for the southern Indiana trip. I may be riding down there instead. It looks like temps would be about 8 degrees higher than predicted for this past weekend. I just gotta ride some more 2laners before I put this bike away! You have fun visiting Smitty...hope you understand.

Now to see if I have a riding buddy...
