I called the Caldwell Best Western today to get a room rate, have to call back Friday when manager comes back. Looks like this is close to 78 and I77. Wll reserve a block of 10-15 rooms penalty free but hopfuly get a good rate. Will post up Friday with hotel info. Plan is to arrive friday pm, then ride all day Saturday 24th and half day Sunday before cruising back up north. Have family in town this weekend so cannot join the fast jump down this Saturday.

Couple pics from Kiedaisch Point, just off 536, about 100 foot of adventure tour to this point, Nice parking lot for group photos with a good view North.:

I should be in for Sunday. What time are you heading out?

No room needed.

Weather calling for 66 with 60% chance rain on Saturday. 70 with 40% chance Sunday.

78 is in pretty good shape between Caldwell and Bishopville. 555 is still bad between Ringold and Chesterhill.

I haven't ventured much further in the past few weeks.

Thanks for the update. Lets all plan on meeting both mornings at 8 am. Some of us are going to come down Frdiay evening around 4 pm departing from I-77 just south of Cleveland. We will take that down by 800 and 800 down to 78.

Weather is looking better for Saturday low 70s and only 30% chance of rain :yahoo:

Several of us are leaving Cleveand area around 3-4 Friday evening - taking 77 doiwn to 800, then back roads to the hotel if posssible.

Looks like we have 5 or so going Saturday?

I have that pesky work stuff in the way Friday afternoon. We will leave an hour or two behind you.

Crap - just relooked at the weather - 70% chance thundersorms saturday, 80% Sunday, with foul weather going all the way back west of kansas. I really really want to do this. I also don't want to spend the entire time driving in 1 down pour after another on curvy roads. What is the consenus? I am leaning towards postponing to another time. I have a lot to do to get my boat in the water but really want this ride so was willing to take the weekend off. But if it is going to storm the entire time then may not be worth it. However the UV forcast is supposed to be moderate saturday and high sunday so there should be some dry between storms.

My heart says go, head says don't. What do the rest of you think? :angry2:
