For me the best thing about a GeorgiaRoller Ride Report is what I am learning from him. My pathetic photography will never get to the level of his, but I am learning to do better. Personal photos of family vacations are getting better, and that is a bigger deal than you would think. When a once in a lifetime memory is captured on film (or SD card) and the pic can tell its own story, that means a lot. I even spend some time with my wife looking at the Roller's pics. She and I get to see places we would like to visit and we both get a photography lesson. I sure hope he does not send me a bill, I would be obligated to pay it.

Dam, you rode your *** off their Nathan, how did you find time to stop and take all those great pics?

Did you go around the Olympic kayaking center the back way across the Hiawassee river and come out near Telico?

I know you went up Aska Rd, beside the Toccoa River, where Is the aerial structure mountain shot at, somewhere on Cherohala, surely you didn't get all the way to Linville viaduct?Itook my grandson on a ride up to the BRP early last week and it was beautiful up there. Nice ride report.

Very Perceptive.

Here is the mountain portion of the route Map Link . The only thing it doesn't show is the overlook on Oswald Rd I went up which is just West of then intersection of Hwy 30 & Hwy 64 across from the Ocoee River in TN.

I didn't think that Cherohala was reopened yet. Did you stop at the point where the road fell off during the winter?

I thought it was going to take until June before the road was repaired.

Yes it's open. There is just a automated Stop light right at the wash out section & a one lane road for maybe 50 yards is all. There was a lone worker on a backhoe working on it when I went through. I almost stopped and took a picture of the slide out but I just kept going. So yeah, feel free to run the Cherohala anytime. Its open.
