HEY !!
Just wondering if ya'all are goin' to sign up -

October is right around the corner - and this looks to be a really fun time - That, and it's my cherry poppin rally - so at least you'll have some entertainment at my expense.

So - show up and point and laugh at KaitsDad as he fumbles his way around the state of California- this may be your only opportunity - !! (doubtful, but possible.)
Geeze Hal, .....the peer pressure is killing me. I hope to do this, I'm at about 80% at this point and want to put that to 99% the first couple weeks of July. Should have done this last year when it was in my back yard ...now a trip down to Kawlifornia  This nevada hick doesn't fit in very well down there .....Oh wait, did someone say beer?? I'm up to 85% and looking to be at 110% by mid July.

You would have ended up in Kali anyways. Last years SPANK rally was a 5 day rally that started in Gerlach NV, headed to southern Kali, then ended in Colorado Springs CO.

This is going to be one excellent rally if the 2005 24 hour rally is any indication! GZ put on one hell of a good rally, and it truely was only as hard as you made it out to be. Most of use decided we needed a little punishment....

My advice to anyone running this rally is to NOT illuminate the inside of a Sheriff's patrol car with 4 HID lights. They'll be surprised enough by how quickly you caught up to them, you don't need to make them wonder if they're about to be abducted..... :alien:

You're not getting off that easily vecter...There was more to that story.

I'm gonna wait to see how bad the WFO BBG kicks my ass.
The rally is easier in some ways than a BBG. There is a lot more to focus on with the bonus hunting. Besides, if there is snow in the Siskiyous you can detour down 199 to Crescent City and follow 101 for a while before heading back to the I-5 corridor at Calpella on 20. It takes longer, but no high passes.

I'm already signed up for Spank. Take the plunge and go down to have some fun.
