I know this was mentioned before somewhere about what spare parts to keep in the garage or on the bike for the FJR but can't recall what they were. And yes I tried the search. Now, I know I will need some ( don't ask me how I know), speed nuts or Yamie calls them (nut, springs) which helps hold our panels on. And the plastic push fasteners Yamie calls "rivits" and other spare fasteners, spare filters, and oil. But is there other items we need to have on hand as far as parts so we don't have to have any down time because we would have to order? Any input? Sorry meant to go in parts thread. Thanks, PM. <>,

I keep everything needed for a fork rebuild. Oil seals, dust seals, spacers (the washer under the oil seal), and inner and outer bushings (called metal slides on parts diagrams). All for less than $50 from Gary McCoy. Fork seals have an annoying habit of blowing whenever they please with no regard for your plans and no dealer anywhere stocks all the parts.

I try to keep a fresh set of tires, oil and filters, spare panel bolts, drain plug washers ect. Smitty
