Sounds like fun. Glad to hear you had a good time.
Me, I have never had my FJR over 85mph. Speeding is dangerous, and more importantly, illegal.

I agree...totally. Just because you have an FJR doesn't mean we should endorse speeding. I only stay in first or second gear to keep the speeds down...I like that engine whine . :clapping:

Hmmm.... I had my girl doing 220 on day 1! :) ... oh, wait... Canadian Units! ... and on a track! ;)

Rock solid and room to go more... I love my new bike! :yahoo:

This wknd, a couple of HDs passed the cage I was riding in at about 85 mph. It looked like they were shaking paint or somethin'. Thought it would be fun to glide by them on the FJR without spilling a drop of my cocktail!

You're right. Not the best common sense to go 150. But I'm glad to say after reading the replys that I was only going 143. I didn't want to go 150 after all.

We were going down hill and the HD were 5 and 6 speed superglides. I took their word for how fast they were going. All motorcyclist tell the truth, don't they? The FJR had lots left when my common sense kicked in at 150.

Wow, 50 MPG. I can't get better that 40. I ride almost daily and can't seem to keep my throttle from twisting. Oh well, 40 is good.

The bike took 5.8 gallons. It alway seems to have quite a bit left when it starts flashing. Does make me worry. They are too heavy to push.

I'll try to slow down for the due to laws, safety and all that. Wish me luck. After all, I do ride a Feejer.

I would think the vacuum created would suck out the liquid and waste your money....

Can't believe you were letting those HD's give you a hard time like that. Must of been V-rod's cause no other harley would crank it up to that speed. Also, they turn like tanks. And yes, I have ridden one through the "twisties" of the smokey's so I know.
Au Contrair... This fine fellow and his bat **** crazy friend with a much worse looking rat bike with big *** ape hangers that I can't seem to find a pic of...

Kept up with us or ran well over 125 (GPS numbers) across the Canadian Autobahn a couple summers ago on our Lower Lakes IB trip. I had the ZX_11 with Givi bags and top case that I was almost sure was going to blow off around ~140, not that I advocate doing that or anything...

We were duly impressed even though the guy was an ******.
