Just wanted to give a thumbs up to Spencer seat mods. Had him re do my seat with the supra core foam, and for the very reasonable price of $75 it made a big difference! I could never ride more than 150 miles before with out some lower back or butt discomfort. This past Saturday, my first ride of he season, I doubled that pain free! Considering it was the first ride of the season and my body has not adjusted to riding yet, I am impressed.

great inexpensive fix...I had him do my 06 seats in 08, and put a lot of miles on that setup, then had Seth Laam redo them in 14.

I have been looking at seats for my FJR, both corbin and Sargent. Does anyone have any input how these Spenser seats compare ? The price is very reasonable.

I had tried a corbin on my Connie 1k years ago... promptly sold it, it was like a board. Its my understanding that's how the corbin seats run, and I don't really have any extra padding back there. I have had no experience that I know of with the sargent. I will tell you, I did fairly well on the stock seat, but some super long days made me want a better seat. Spencer did mine when I was on vacation and when I got back home, it was waiting for me. Certainly an improvement over stock. I don't think its as comfortable as a RDL or a Laam, but then again, it looks stock and the outlay is much less as well as a quick turnaround. BTW, i tried a RDL too. I didn't like that the width in front needed to be compensated for (not the deal killer) but that I felt like I was sitting on top of the bike, instead of being an extension of the bike. I couldn't get used to that feeling, so I sold that one too :)

BTW, I'm in Asheville NC, and in mid may, I'll be at the top of the Blue Ridge Parkway in VA overnight if you wanted to meet up and try the seat out prior to sending yours to Spencer if that's what you want to do.

All I can say is yesterday I did 200 miles non stop, no breaks, no fuel, 4.5 hrs in the rain and I did not have a muscle ache or sore butt. I have done 300 plus miles with breaks and the same results. With the stock seat before spencer, never more than 100. I am 61.

I rode the Hell out of my stock seat. I finally had Spencer modify it, just to help with some of the pain u was getting after long rides. I really like the seat. I'm sure it's not a Russell, and I wasn't super impressed with the Lamm I had; however, the issues with that seat may not have fully been the seat's fault. The new owner likes it.

Either way, Spencer was easy to work with, was easy to reach, gave very specific instructions, had the seat back a day or two early, and was super reasonable. I had the rider and pillion seats done. Wife seems happy too.

I had Corbin do the front seat for me I told them about the complaints about the seat being hard and they did a great job for me. The seat is so comfortable I don't have to use my Airhawk anymore. I have a rider backrest that connects to my Russell rear seat. I have had it for bout Five months now and have taken several long trips. I am 60 and this is the first seat that is not a mustang that has worked for me. I told Corbin when I ordered it if came and was hard It would be sent right back. It cost me 373 plus 40 for shipping.
