Please post if the problem is fixed (or not). I hope it is. On mine it's annoying but not that big a deal.
Yes ... the problem is fixed .

I talked with the technician and they did not bleed it.

It was a simple matter of adjusting the clutch control so that engagement would begin at a higher engine speed. He said the whole thing had taken less than an hour.

This actually makes pretty good sense because if you were controlling the clutch yourself by hand, and you were getting this stutter, most people would intuitively give the throttle a little twist to get the engine speed a bit higher on the torque curve.

So ... I am pretty happy. Both the '08 and the '09 are now like identical twins when it comes to their performance, except that the '08 has the Pilot Powers installed and the '09 is running the OEM Metzelers. Which one do you think I like better

?

But as for their clutch performance, both are excellent.

Thanks! Happy for you!

Glad you have your bike operating as intended and thanks for your positive attitude toward the dealer. Even though I do some of my own wrenching I also try to support my local dealer when I can. Living in a small town means if they go under I have to ride/haul the bikes at least 45 minutes to the next nearest dealer....that just SUCKS! I have other things I rather do than chase 45 each way minutes for service.

It's sad that civility is disappearing in our society. El Toro, keep on keepin' on!
