Buzz lightyear wins first race comfortably. James Toseland won easily from Troy Corser.
Baylis crashed out whilst leading. (Flicked in the air in a high-side and banged his goolies on the tank when he came back down :blink: ).
Biaggi was 3rd after another poor start and clambering back through from 7th. Toselands team mate Roberto Rolfo who reputedly got the ride because he brought the title sponsor with him, could only manage to finish a full 30 seconds behind JT on the same bike.
Neil Hodgeson on commentary wanted to know how they do wheelies at the end of the race when the bikes are fitted with anti-wheelie technology. James Whitham reckons they have a special celebration button on the bars to over-ride it
