Recalculating: Now in the OC!
feejer222: didn't want to discuss WSBK race in the F1 thread and give stuff away...

Well, Mad Max certainly helped James retain his points lead, didn't he? That first race was a hummer until that crash.

Don't know who does the commentary on your side of the pond, but Steve Martin did the color for our coverage. He mentioned that the front-runner except for Toseland were all running the same electrical system. That surprised me. Whatever that system is, it was definitely an advantage at Misano.

Do your commentators have any insights on why Corser seems to fade so badly?

With Bayliss on a tear now, Tose is going to have his hands full. Tho' I like to root against Honda, I hope they help him out in this last bit of the season.

The crash was a big one too for them both to walk away from. 150mph our guys said. There was no mention of electrics by our guys.

Corser just seems to do the same every race now, he did last year as well. He has just won his 39th.....or was it 40?? pole. But can't just keep the momentum up like he used to.

Bayliss is looking very strong now. I think Tose has it all to do to stop him. He still has a 36 point margin, but needs consistent top 3 finishes to win the title from here. I would like to see James win it again, mainly because he is a Brit of course but also because he is a decent guy. He does masses of charity stuff here. At the WSBK rounds here he sets up camp in one of the markees and signs autographs and photos after the racing has finished and stays until there is no-one else to sign for. I doubt that he will get a competitive ride at MotoGP and will burn himself out trying, like most Brits seem to do, so I would like to see him win the WSBK one more time before he slides back down to BSB.

Haga seems to have found a second wind this year. I hope he can muster enough to win a title before he quits. Did you know he has never broken a bone?

Hodge still has no ride this year and has been doing some testing for Ducati. Chris Walker who came back to BSB from WSBK this year has produced only 9th's and 10th's and there is talk of Hodge replacing him on the Rizla Suzuki in the BSB.
