Spontaneous Barbarian jumper mod?

I've got an '04 ABS, with 30k miles. Today I was washing it with the key on so I could keep the winshield up to clean the bugs out from under the shield. When I turned the key off, the windshield did not return to the parked position, and hasn't since. Everything else seems to works as normal and the shield goes up and down fine with the button. I don't know if I care since I have considered doing the Barbarian jumper mod but never got around to it. Anyone else have this phenomonen?

The barbarian jumper mod doesn't affect the windshield... but the CO settings for the engine.

It's behaving like the auto-retract has been disconnected: https://www.fjrtech.com/getdbitem.cfm?item=12 But the windshield can do crazy things. While my auot-retract was disconnected, I was jump-starting my FJR (after accidently leaving the ignition on for a few days). As the starter drew down the heavy load the windshield atomatically returned to the lowest position - look ma, no hands, that thing has a mind and will of it's own!
