No feeling in his lower extremities is kinda chilling.... let us pray it's a temporary paralysis thing....

We had a woman die here last night when a truck turned in front of the bike and killed her. Neither the HD pilot nor the woman passenger had helmets on . . .

It always gets to me when a good rider goes down.
+1.

If "They" can go down, I can too. And I am a couple of light years from being as good as the better. Without question, it is a dangerous passion (riding bikes). Yet another reminder.

Ouch! That's not good news.

Hopefully, the paralysis is caused by swelling and thus will be temporary. Also hope that the car driver is held accountable for his/her actions. That is NOT a road where anyone should even dream of making a u-turn.

He just spoke again at our local club meeting a few months back. We have sent our well wishes and hope he recovers to ride with us soon.

It appears that the situation looks fairly bleak....

A guy on the Busa forums, who apparently has close contacts with Andrew, reported the following today:

I did receive an update today. It appears there is a sliver of hope but realistically, Andrew will most likely remain a paraplegic for the remainder of his life. From what I hear, the doctors say it is possible he may get some feeling in his lower extremities but not very likely.
:( :( :( :( :( :( :( :(

Not the news we were hoping/praying for.....

WC, any chance you might know of a link or some sort of address to pass along our well wishes/support for Andrew?
