I am possible looking at buying a Sportsmobile (campervan) and trying to find out if anybody owns one or has had any experience with one.

Here is a link to one that I am looking at Sportsmobile The one I am looking at is the one with New Mexico Plates, 7th one down.

Holy guana, Batman.

$35 large for a USED Econoline shag-wagon?

I'm definitely in the wrong bidness...

Yeah they are not cheap, but they fit my Fiance and My life style. When we go camping now we have to load up the truck from the storage locker. This will be daily driver in the winter. I have the FJR for the summer.

I don't know anything about them, but can I borrow it when you get it?

Have you checked out the Road Treks (also called Home and Park) and the Pleasure Way?

Those two seem to be the best built...

You can get approximate prices at RVsearch.com

Haven't heard of Sportsmobile before, but then I've only been reading about Class A's and class 8's for the past four years...<G>

They look like a nice set up as long as there is NOT a porta potti. If it has one it's all you'll smell.
Yeah I had heard that. It has one but it will not be used. I have heard that I might be able to write the taxes off as a second home. Something about it having a place to fix food, sleep and clean-up. I am still looking into it.

Depends on the toilet and the installation, and if you have a holding tank or not,

and how you take care of it.

RV's, boats, mobile homes all can be claimed as a second home. I've claimed my boats for 20 years. Makes it a lot easier to sell to momma. "I'ts not really that expensive, cause we can write it off."
