A clean bike is a . . . . . . Yeah, yeah, yeah, we know!

But, you have to degrime it once in a while. Especially if you have a drippy oil thingy that coats one side of the thing for several weeks. And the wheels actually get all shiny and stuff when the coat of brake dust is removed! (Yes, it's shiny wheels, not black, on an '03. Got it that way from the original owner.)

I clean mine in the spring, and again when it's almost too chilly out to run water and get your hands wet. Today was The Day. I even pulled the bags off and cleaned them up. There's even parts of the bike underneath them that could use some attention once in a while.

I know! It was a surprise to me, too!

As for why I'm doing this on a day like today?!?!? With this rear tire, I'm not going anywhere far from the house:

So here is is, all clean and shiny. Feast your eyes, because it's gonna rain tomorrow, and all this will be for naught (except the water's gonna bead real nice off of the wax.)

This one will haunt me for the rest my days on the forum, I'm sure. Not only polished the cans, but the inside of the exhaust tips.

Yes, which is why it's presented from this side! :p :p :p

What Patriot refers to:

But how he can call anything on the side of anybody else's bike shameful . . . . Well, his gonadology seems to be heavier than my previous estimates. :D
