Beautiful day, first time weather is in the low 60's today, take her for a short fun ride over some elevations around here...everything is great, coming through the forest all of a sudden blacktop ends...smartass me continues, before I know the dirt road is covered with slush and deep f.. &$^%$ tire ruts...both feet dangling for balance and there she goes, rear end gives way and she's down. Some Sunday hikers help me to get the bike back on the road again cause the rear end was sort of over a hump on the side of the road in the snow...

In my mind I see all sorts of damaged parts, but surprise surprise the snow and sliders prevented any damage to my tupperware, except some paint missing on the left side mirror where you can pivot the mirror

So now I need some black paint, do people use just any black glossy paint or do the dealers have the black in cans or these little 20ml containers where they have a little brush attached to the screw on cover?

Alfredo

Should have read the post about how the Feej does in two feet of snow first. Seriously sorry bout your luck though. Atleast the hickers were there to help. Do what I do and just throw some stickers on it <_<

Get the FZ1 Mirrors, get rid of your scuff and see better all at the same time. My used 07 AE came with them so I can't give you details on the procurement but they sure look sweet. Maybe Ebay.

Fixed it!

I have a gravel (MUD) driveway over 800 feet long and i came close to dropping it twice in the last week. I just can't resist the urge to go ride. I know from riding the XR it helps quite a bit to to keep the beast in the uprite mode. I just hope someday it doesn't bite me in the *** also.

You got off pretty lucky i would say. ( NOW DON'T TREET HER THAT WAY AGAIN) :D

Aaaw damn, Alfredo  Sorry to hear about your little mishap.

If the affected area is not too large, I'll bet you can use any black glossy paint to fix it and even you won't be able to tell the difference afterwards.

Hey Mr. Macho man, good to hear you're still alive and kickin, yep I think it's not a big deal once I touch it up. I was really lucky...

Easter will be Ticino opening season for us, I'm sure we can hook up one more time before our trip. Do you have a definitive participant list for the Istanbul run?

Ciao

Alfredo
