xds are the bom good shooter better than a glock(did i studder)

the slide guides are replaceable not on a glock i think.

and the price is about 120 less than the gs

but common 9mm???

A good friend of mine has an XD in 9mm, the Standard size w/4" barrel; he loves it (not literally!) I got to run about half a box of rounds through it...liked it better than my S&W Sigma (it's a .40 though) was more accurate, even better ergonomics for my smallish hands; was considering the XD subcompact myself, although it's only .75 inches shorter for a 3" barrel, & of course ballistics suffers as a result....I currently carry a Ruger SP-101, 3" in .357 mag...(that'll get your attention...) but it is heavy....

Pistols were never my thing - though I happily go to the range mit der Uber Colonel when we get together. Give me a single shot Remington long barrel 12 gauge 'goose gun' and I'm a happy camper though. :trinibob:

I used to have a P90 Ruger .45 Auto and a Ruger Redhawk .44 mag I had the .44 riged so I could drop pig shaped metal plates @ 200 Metres no billshit! ( Red dot scope and hand loads)

KAHR PM9 is my favorite. It is small, weighs less than a pound, and shoots straight, and once broken in very reliable. They also have a .40 and I read something about a .45 but I like the 9mm in a pistol this size and weight.

Yea, I don't know.

I earned a black belt in Kenpo Karate (Ed Parker's if anyone cares) which took me 12 years to obtain. But since I'm now too lazy to get er done with hand to hand, I figger I'll just shoot em.
