You really had to be there when Ed took the Spyder for a "spin".

1.) Tyler gives him the "tips and pointers" (about a 20 minute crash-course in Spyder specialty information).

2.) Ed starts the massive machine, snicks it into gear a and starts down the drives.

Tyler watching his every move.....

3.) Ed twists the throttle and spins the back wheel in the gravl. A little spurt of go-motion.

4.) Tyler shakes her head and lets it hang down.

hee-hee-hee-hee-hee-hee

When Ed returned he told us the throttle was "snatchy" and he didn't give it that much gas. Yeah...riiiiiight!

Priceless!

Ty, my friend, what a great group of people. And Ed's ribs....wonderful! Er....Mom's salad: EXCELLENT.......folks were scraping the bowl.

Dana and the goat kept busy trying to read each other’s mind…

Dana is saying, "Sta-a-a-a-y awa-a-a-ay fom Bu-u-ustanu-u-ut and O-o-o-old Mi-i-i-ichael.

Yup, I know that one well... how could I NOT ride a road that they were so kind to name after me... ;) There are a ton of little "secret" roads in that area... be happy to share a few with you the next time you think you'll be in the area! B)
Please send a message my way the next time you are up in this part of the Sierra's and I will ride out to meet you! :)
Sam, it would be an honor! You be sure to do the same if you come down this way as well... B)

Another great report. And great to be back in the wind I bet. I sure miss that area. My folks had a cabin in Grizzly Flats for many years and we wore out many roads and trails in the Jeeps and on the dirt bikes. Awesome area. Again good to see you back Tyler!! PM. <>< ;)
Yeah, it's definitely a wonderful area for the "great outdoors!" Thanks, PM!! :)

Thanks for sharing, great ride up and pictures. Looks like you had a grand old time.

Dayamn, that is one hell of a sharp weed-whacker!

Nice pics, there girlie! Looks like you guys had a great gathering. Those ribs look yummie, too! Does the area turn from green to brown and stay brown through the summer? If so, that sucks.

LOL Guess it looks like it from those pics, huh? ;) They were weed whackin' around the big oak tree that used to stand by the house complete with tire swing. An unprecedented amount of snow fell this past winter up there and the poor tree couldn't take the weight... split in three... RIP tree... :(

And yeah, it pretty much turns "golden" over the summer until the cycle starts all over again... B)

The Golden State is gold because it is dry and turns the color of gold when the sun rises and sets, not because there was a Gold Rush for "shiney metal"!

I gotta say that your parents place looks like mine, except the pictures of your dad could to be of me. :D

The property looks promising, what kind of fortifications has your dad developed?

Truly your post continue to be inspirational, this really begins to enclose the circle of a journey that was detoured. Thank you so much for sharing this continuation of your journey. "Back and Proud" you are,and that's just a blessing to many.

Ride Well.

Tyler this forum has now returned to normal now that you have made a ride report. I always enjoyed your reports and this one was not an exception. As you ride the Spyder more many of us will be interested in your opinion of it. Enjoy your "new normal" whatever it may be.

wonderful to see you re-doing the Memorial Weekend trek ...I can't tell you how I enjoyed last year ..and what a reminder of how much can change in a year -and even more how much can stay the same if we allow it to.

Great to see the familiar sites of that groovy corner of planet earth.

But those words are just happy horseshit compared to what I really like about you:
