The wife says she wants to get some fresh apples. We decide to head for Yakima Sunday. THe weather is iffy, so time to test the all wheel function of the BMW (new to us car).

just before the top of the pass - they rebuilt the signs this winter

the pull off just to the east side of the pass looking down the valley - 8 inches of snow over night and 2 feet total already.

good call taking the BMW. The all wheel drive function is outstanding. It was a nice day for a drive. We stopped on the way back at Gold Creek - their fish and chips are very good!

Stunningly beautiful pics. Which BMW did you get? We did not go with the X-drive because there is not much snow in South Louisiana and she (hopefully) will not be getting off road in her 3 series. I will say that their slogan, "The Ultimate Driving Machine" has been spot on. Of course, she got out of a Pontiac and got into the Beemer so there was not much of a comparison.

Beautiful AuburnFjr..... just beautiful. You know what makes me turn blue though...not two weeks ago me and my riding club went to the Chinook Pass and had lunch at the Whistler Jack Lodge....

If I where to own a Beemer I'd go for that crossover guy X6 or so isn't it? I grew up with Audi so I'm biased  and after all, you can't do much against a Audi S8, which was the best car I've ever owned.... Today my Hummer will do just fine, I love this monster to death.

Our riding club is going to Leavenworth on this weekend to celebrate the Octoberfest there, look forward to it. We will be going Hwy 2... can't wait to give this truck another long haul again.....

So crazy for me to see pics of snow like this right now...but that it's so awesome looking! Would be cool to go snowshoeing out there!

2002 325xi. Went from a subaru to the BMW, more car for less money in the used car market around here. Definitely has a grin factor. Maintenance is pretty easy too.

Nice pictures Bryan, much different than when Dave and I rode through with his new Bonnie.

Be careful Mr. GeorgiaRoller it is easy to get stuck in avalanches. A good place to snow snowshoe is at Paradise Mt. Rainier National Park where the area is somewhat flatter and not so prone to avalanche.

Nice pics Bryan. Two weeks ago I was riding the North Cascades Hwy. Summer went fast forward to winter, skipping fall all together. Twas a nice summer this year. :)

:clapping: Awfully nice pics Bryan, but dang it anyway, could of held off for a couple weeks. For personal reasons of course..... Which one of you two bake the pies?

Keep Going!

How quickly the weather changes in these parts!
