Could you post up the route, so I can get an idea of where some of these places are?
Here is the route:

only 17min 28 sec stopped time??? huh?

I was wondering about that too - my Garmin is on switched power so I think everytime I stopped and switched off, it stops tracking??

In reality, I departed at about 4:15 am and returned at 10:30pm which in total is 18 hours 15 minutes so stopped time is closer to 2 hours 15 minutes total given the Garmin total time is just under 16 hours.

Well Done Richie! I contemplated my own ride. I couldn't pass up the SS1K at WFO. Hope you documented it closely enough. Ride Safe! TJ

For long distance riding I personally would not want switched power for my GPS, which I don't. Hot all the time, as not to screw up important stats.

Thanks for the route.

Great job Richie, awesome photographs also. One thing that struck me from one of your photos was how well your "Datel in the Mirror" farkle shows up in the sunlight. Is it just that good in the photo or is it really that easy to see?

Axeman - it really is that easy to see - sunlight or not. And at night it isn't blinding which I thought it might when I originally installed it. So far 5,000 miles with it and it works like a charm (and I still think it looks pretty cool too...)

Ahh the things you learn in life - I am defintely going to rewire so it is unswitched. It would have been nice to have the Garmin correctly calculate the time logs (I have my manual logs and time coded receipts anyways) - to be honest I was more concerned about the mileage recordings as I obviously didn't want to rely on the odometer - given the distance I actually travelled its a bit of a moot point.

For the record, the bike odometer was 1,766.3 km versus 1,732.9 on the Garmin which by my calcs is a 1.9% error.

Ah, that was you. I forgot about that mod. That's probably the coolest farkle I've seen to date.

Congrats on the accomplishment. Cool pic of Mt. Robson, too.

Just putting my package together to submit to IBA. I have all my receipts - date and time stamped, my log documentation, my witness doc (my wife), and my map - speaking of which does anyone know if I can submit the Navtec Map printout I posted here or do I need to send in an actual road map?

They will want a 1 page map so its easy to glance at and see the route IIRC.
