I pulled up next to a guy riding one of these today in Lake Havasu at a red light. I asked what it was and he said a Stallion that is made in Texas. He said it has a Ford Focus drivetrain with a 4 cyn engine and 5 speed automatic trans, Heater & A/C for both rider and passenger, Cruise, steering wheel. As he took off I followed him as he went through a s-turn in the street and it hugged the road. It was quiet and very smooth. I've never been an advocate of Trikes, but I would love to have one of these. I have included the link to their website. It would be fun to own one. Oh, and he said it handles great on the open road.

You must see this. Cost: Starting at $25k, fully loaded for $27k-29k.

A Totally Cool Machine!!

Saw one Sunday for Rolling Thunder to the Pentagon. All automotive style controls, what with the gas and brake pedals, steering wheel, etc. They've been around since 2006 and this is a intor shot of what's under the bodywork:

As you wrote, it's very automotive.

If I were going trike, I'd follow our own trike-specialista, Tyler, & get a Spyder.

35 years ago I worked with Willy at Marv's VW Repair Center. Willy's son is now the owner of Phoenix Trike Works.

This is the Trike I built when I was in high school. The Springer front end I built was 48" and the bars were 36'long.

You can see some of the older Trikes I worked on in the slide show on Youtube.

My old dealership sold a few of these after I was gone.

I hear horror stories in the service department.

Ford apparently warranties the power train.

We have one of those things roaming our local streets. My pillion shot this Stallion:

Even though it has a trunk, you will note the black leather Hardley saddlebags under the mirrors. Just your ordinary, everyday WTF? I guess it goes with the suicide knob on the steering wheel.

I tested one of these a few years ago on a hot summer day here in Oklahoma. Personally, I would give up motorcycles before purchasing one.

Yeah, it's just a small open car. The only thing that makes it a "motorcycle" is the law about number of wheels.....
