I replaced mine on my 07 and it's an easy task. Like George states the orientation is important and if like me you have to wait a couple of weeks after taking it out for a new part you could put it in backwards as I did. The bike starts and rides wonderfully if installed backwards but you will receive an ABS warning light. There are two fuses on the solenoid one is a spare make sure to check which is which.
