Starter whistle

I get a brief whistle once the bike is started. Seems to be the starter. Any ideas as to what might be causing this?

If the gear that pops out of the starter isnt retracting after the bike starts it will make that sound when the flywheel over revs the starter motor. That will kill your starter eventually.

It's the computer doing it's self check. It happens when the engine starter button is released. If the motors running and you hit the starter button you'll hear it again. I some time have forgotten that the bike is running when I put my ear plugs in and hit the button.
