Starting issues when hot

Did several resistance tests on the armature and as it turns out there is a breakdown in the windings, so armature kaput.

So much for Yamaha mechanic telling me FJR starters don't breakdown.

Bought a secondhand 02 starter of fleabag U.K. Tested it, fitted it, same problem.

I emailed the merchant and no problem just got another one in from an 04, fitted it and its a world of difference in cranking over.

So happy days.
