I don't know, but I wouldn't try and tighten them with a socket from Sears. They take a special tool either Yamaha sells or some tools a forum member made years ago.
Thanks guys, i know its a special nut and there are torque values for the upper and lower nut. I was going to make my own tool for the nut and was looking for the outside diameter so i had a starting point before i took my bike apart. Just looking for the oitside diameter of the "castel nut like" nut.
This steering nut wears 32" waist paints. And I quickly regain my bearings anytime I sit under the three trees in my back yard. But I'm not sure that's what you were asking.
