MP3 through Autocom to ER6 earspeakers...and works great.

I'd steer clear of external speakers. I had such a system in a prior life. And, it was state of the art at the time. But with that approach you end up blasting the whole world so you can hear it. The sound quality is inferior because you have to blast through your lid and the gear/amp required to do the blasting probably isn't all that clean (more power = more distortion unless you spend real bucks).

I won a pair of helmet speakers at CFO last month. https://www.softline-online.de/english/index.htm, model 2-3300. I mounted them inside my Arai , very good till illegal speeds........Plus, $140 cheaper than sending back my custom molded ear plugs to the lady I meet at The Mpls cycle show to have her install the stereo plugs. At least for now.....

I bought a XM radio and am working with 'CBXJOHN" for a custom mount for the Roady. We first made a "HOON' type copy out of aluminum, but I lost some signal riding across northern WI. last weekend.. Plus I couldn't get the screws that bolt down thru the clutch resev to get tightened down good enough for my taste. So now we are making a new steel holder that will be bolted down with the left unused mirror hole. I already have a Audiovox C.C with a 1'" spacer so when I use the new Roady holder, It will clear over the left bar controls, and I will velco the remaining holder over the clutch cover without removing the stock screws. We will also be testing the holder with a grounding strap going back to the frame to see if that will help will the antennea......

I'll post some pictures in a few days when it is installed and tested.
