sent you a pm.My old lady uses my old PAIR covers for harvesting hamster crap from "Rodentville". You want 'em????
what do you want for them ?I have a spare set as well.
Thought I would try to make a permanent seal on them by welding or tapping them and installing a bolt or something like this.I'll admit, the curiosity bug has hit me too. Looks like you are even willing to pay for them. Whats up?
That's a good idea. You could just get a piece of sheet metal from home depot and cut the outlines of the stock ones, drill the holes for the screws, and you'd be totally sealed off when you reinstall them sandwiched in there.Just make a gasket to go under them and block the reed valve
Spend the money on the prettiest farkle no one will ever see. Well, except you when you lift the tank to work under there.

It may be to much bling for him Jason. What he doesn't realise is that it gets rid of all that crap that gets in the way when triying to service the engine. Just my thoughts on the Harley comment. Too each there own, there is always a better mousetrap waiting to be built.Nope, why do you ask?
Not a question, a statement. Your post reveals a person who is more concerned with performance/utility thanNope, why do you ask?
whats that uncapped metal tube lower left corner ?Aha, gotcha. FWIW, I'd already done one throttle body sync with all the crap in there and it was a right pain. Since I was going to check valve clearances and have the cover off, I figured it was a perfect time to clean things up for future syncs and install the cover plates. Pretty much a no brainer at that point.
