If anyone has an extra stock mirror for a 2006 FJR 1300A laying around, how much you do you want for it? Mine, for some odd reason, (dealer screw-up) will not stay in place above 60mph. Please PM me.

Thanks,

Burk

Do an eBay search for FJR1300 - I did one earlier tonight and there's a right and a left mirror on there for $9.99 each.

Thanks for the heads-up. I'll take a look.

Update: I only found 03-05 mirrors on ebay.

Still looking!

When my left mirror got scratched I replaceed it with a brand new one - Dealer sold it to me for $78 (Canadian).

Before you kill yourself looking for a scratched up used one, check with University Motors or with Gary Murphy (https://www.murpskits.com/catalog/) to see what a new one will run? If you contact Gary, tell him 'Bram sent you'. Doesn't do anything for either of us, but it does let Gary know I was thinking of him as a supplier.

are you under warranty yet?
Just out of warranty. I should have brought it to their attention earlier.

I sent an email to University to price a new one. I really don't want a scratched up used one. I saw some interesting items at Gary Murphy's site. I'll be checking them out in the future.

Burk,

I could be wrong about this, but IIRC someone mentioned awhile ago that the mounting "washers" on the '06s have to be sequenced properly under the fairing or the mirror will be loose. The washers are like clamshells and have to be facing each other or you cannot tighten the nuts properly to hold the mirror. Hope I haven't confused this with another bike.
