Im looking for a worn out stock shock. I want to try my hand at trying to retrofit it and rebuild it to see if it can be done. Sooo if ya gonna just pitch it in the garbage and you live in the upstate South Carolina area or WNC that I could ride out one day and pick it up I would be much appreciative. I plan on posting pics and info if I'm successful so that others that might be willing can try it too.

no sorry loads of work this year im lucky if I get 2 days a month off honestly that's why I was looking for someone relatively local. Its ok if I don't find anyone as next year im hopeing to buy a gen III shock and ill have my old one to Frankenstein. Im just wanting to explore the possibility in the future for all of us to have a cost effective option to what we have now. The Gen i's and II's are under-sprung for many of us (me included) and don't have a built in ability to rebuild. I have access to a full machine shop as well as a background of working with nitrogen cylinders as well as hydraulics so I think this is a real option to explore. I will if successful convert a OEM shock to a rebuildable and rechargeable shock as well as change the spring to better suit my weight all hopefully for less than what some used OEM shocks sell for on fleabay. And if its a bust all ive lost is some time and a few bucks and had fun learning.
