C'mon now, TWN. You were suppossed to ask Thug:

"So, does that mean you can see better through it when it's cold outside? :haha:

this works fine for me too,,,,,,,,https://www.saeng.com/4000.htm , and tilt the shield back a few degrees with some washers under the front mount.....since oct 02...enjoy the ride :p

Nice light package Highlander. Do the lower lights on your mounts point lateral. I'll bet you look like Close Encounters coming down the road at night. Sweet set up. I'll be carving up my shield for summer use as well. Don't like huge shields. Like clean air..I leave my stock one down most of the time except if its colder or raining. It sucks the water right off my shield with a little tuning and keeps a lot of the fog off as well. It is like turning on a heater though when you have it up. Nice on chilly mornings but not cool when its already 90 with 70% humidity like it is down here in the South... :dribble:

I want Highlander's shield! One of you wanks that bought a barn door, send me yer old one so I can take a hacksaw to it! ;)

BTW Highlander, your light setup is almost exactly like mine. I have slightly smaller fogs on the bottom though. Great minds and all that...

Highlander - I just put a dark tinted Cee Bailey wind screen very similar to yours on my '05 and what a difference!! :D

It's been a long time since I rode a bike with that kind of air flow to it. Good air and not turbulent. Excellent idea for summer.

You guys still riding the stock '04 and '05 windscreens have my sympathy.

BTW - I have a Cee Bailey +2+2 with flip that I was using and liked and will put back on this fall.

Here is the link to the smaller Cee Bailey I now have.

I always (usually?) try to, like Monty Python says, "...look on the bright side of life," so when I read the complaints about the stock shield I took it onboard and figured I'd live with what I have. Just made my first commute 40 miles up 95 to Arlington today and I gotta admit the stock shield SUCKS! Clean air when it's down, but anything other than that produces head bobbles and a definite push forward. Clean air is nice, but at 80mph it would be nice to have some quiet and no push/pull. Reckon I'll spring for the CB +4+3 sooner than I thought. Still, great to ride first thing in the morning - and Friday mornings are usually less dangerous than other days around here.
I got the CB +4+1 and it certainly does provide more protection, less noise. At some points it does push from behind a little. The +1 should be wider if you are looking for purely cold weather riding. I went +1 to provide comfort of clean air above head, but till to get some ventilation on arms/hands during the summer.
