Greetings all.

Well, the Alberta summer officially ends soon. I didn't get to go for the long ride I wanted to this year. Why? Because I'm still sitting here waiting for parts. (grumble) I REALLY wanted the Zumo 550 with me, but still no show after almost 4 weeks. (more grumbling) I have the throttle mod and grip puppies, but still no Vista Cruise, and I will only do that surgery in one shot.

I still have Skyway spacers on order, but I have had the V-Stream sitting here and I want to try it out. I'll put on the spacers next spring, or whenever they arrive.

So is there any special procedure to remove the windshield? Does that front plastic "U" on the outside of the windshield pop off or what? I don't want to damage anything here and am curious to feel the difference.

2 small screws under the W bracket. then it lifts off.

I believe that the screws are a number 3 metric hex head, I had mine off this morning. I found the dealer install on my windshield screws to be very loose and in need of tightening.

Yes, don't just try to "pop" off the W. You'll break it for sure. Stand at the front of your bike, face it, crouch down and look up under the shield and you'll see the screws you have to loosen.

Thanks for the info guys.

Got it off easy enough, but this V-Stream nowhere NEAR fits the bike! I could MAYBE get the two mounting holes to line up, but thats it! But I would'nt dare because it would be rubbing on both mirrors and snap off as soon as I lowered the windshield.

Either someone sent me the wrong model or this thing has one hell of a design flaw!

You prolly got the wrong model. Mine fits like a champ.

Just received the yamaha tall tour screen. I'll put that sucker on tonight.....
I ordered mine from Roush for $87 and it has been shipped. I really can't wait because I am 6'3" tall with a 31" inseam so I am all torso and "need a few more inches". I got the Skyway spacers too. Glad to know they are back in the pipeline.

Yup.

My FJR is an 06, and they mailed me one for an 05. So, today I'm packaging it up and sending it back to Sick Moto. Ugh. Oh well.
