That should be required viewing for anyone wanting to ride without a helmet...of course, that won't happen to them, right? (in this case, it may not have made any difference anyway...)

Bike on it's side and a back window view of a hearse. Scared me witless, I guess.

Not for the waek of heart. I remember when we had to watch stuff like that in drivers education in HS, some students threw up and more than one fainted.

I think he was wearing his helmet but it split in two did it not? Maybe is just not his lucky day or is his day to go.

That was one. I think there was another at first... when they were cleaning up.

Actually this guy had a helmet. In the later part of the video it shows them removing the helmet that is split in half. Helmet no help!!!

Are you sure that was a helmet that was split in half?? Toward the end, it looked like he was missing quite a bit of his skull.

-didn't see the helmet....but, as I mentioned before, obviously didn't help anyway; too much trauma/kinetic energy at work. A few years back at my work we had a co-worker go off duty, went home on a quiet weekend morning on his sportbike & another fellow rider. Took a sweeper (on a street that connected 2 highways) too fast, (estimates were near triple digit speeds) lost it in the apex, went over the curb, struck a speed limit sign. Somehow at the point of impact, the sign itself got turned sideways & went under his helmet, on edge; took off the top of his skull; helmet found damaged but intact. Very sad...at least no one else got injured...should have saved it for a track day....

Watched the whole thing but wished I didn't. Yup, there was a helmet that was split in two. Nasty accident.

Yep, there was a helmet... split in half... just like his skull. Man, this guy could really wrap his mind around stuff.

he seemed to have bee going a hair itsy-bitsy fast to do that kind of damage.

Puker factor: 3000.

Well, that tops my grossest video list. He must have been carrying some serious speed to do that to his helmet and skull. :puke:

I better make sure my wife doesn't see that one. . .heck, I better make sure I don't see that one again. :stop:  :puke: :rip:

I sent this link out to some co-workers and one sent this back.

I don't recall it, but they have a word for that in Japan. Some kids, when they learn that they didn't

get into the school that they (or their parents) wanted, steal their parents credit card (or otherwise

raise the money) buy a motorcycle, spend some time flying through the city then, when the gas

starts getting low, go straight for a convenient wall or bridge support. According to a friend of mine,

who is in Japan two or three times a year, 15-20 kids die that way every year.
