Stupid pillion mount and dismount question with top box

Yeah, that's the question. I just got a Givi e52 top box and I just got to thinking, how the heck she is going to swing her leg over to get on and off. Now I haven't actually mounted the box yet to try, but in just thinking about it as I look at the box, it seems it could be a bit tricky.

What's the scoop?
I have ridden on the back of an FJR several times. It's very comfortable. With respect to climbing on and off, I find it a whole lot easier to just sit on the front. Even without the box, there is no way I can mount the pillion gently or gracefully.

However, there are times when we're down to just one bike and it just wouldn't be right for HIM to ride on the back, now would it?

Hmmmm. Do I answer this or not. Change is good every now and again, Ms. Penguin. Ask him, he MIGHT say yes.
Best not give her advice on mounting her Pillion. Could be taken wrong and we all have our own style. I have yet to mount my Pillion on the FJR but look forward to trying it, how does the center stand hold up to this type of abuse. anyone?? .......

The center stand certainly would be strong and steady enough. But I would not want to be on the center stand after my SO was on. I would think it would be hard to get off the stand, especially if there was any lose material on the pavement or it was a gravel lot.

I plant both feet and hold real steady. My wife ALWAYS asked me if I'm ready before she mounts; using the pillion peg. She is high enough to just side saddle her foot over the seat. I keep the side stand out and she always mounts from the left and if the pavement is level I leave the bike on the side stand. I have never tried letting her get on first but you definitely would want a solid surface for the sdie stand. You don't want her stepping on the pillion peg when you are not expecting it.

I know, I'll pay for this, unless you'll keep quiet.
You're a bad, bad boy Jim. How much is it worth to you to keep this quiet from Lorie :D

I get on first - Lorie asks me if I'm ready (positive contact!) - then she puts her left foot on my footpeg and somehow gets on! Works like a charm so far.
